Magma proudly supports prototype R&D and offers FEM analysis.

Magma has contributed in the process of designing and fitting custom-made magnetic solutions designated for prototypes for dozens of clients throughout the years. We assist and gladly offer our knowledge of magnetic properties to entrepreneurs, established companies and research facilities, starting from the proof-of-concept to the actual assembling of the prototype.

We offer unique, state-of-the-art magnetic technologies, specializing in cutting-edge radial sintered magnets. These radially magnetized ring magnets measure up to 150mm in diameter and are an exciting brand new alternative to full magnetic rings (FMR) made of separate links. These sintered rings can be magnetized at any direction and are revolutionizing the magnet market.
These rings are ideal for new innovative prototypes requiring a one-of-a-kind solution.

FEM Analysis

Magma’s engineers can cater to a wide range of needs, offering unique magnetic solutions, fitting tools and sharing our experience.
We conduct a series of tests to determine the magnetic properties for the design:
Finite Element Method analysis (FEM/FEA), electro-magnetic field motion mapping, magnetic field mapping, 2D and 3D modeling, magnetic properties at extreme temperatures, flux density calculations, Gauss measurements and physical strength of the magnet.

Finally, we offer an optimization of the design based on the results.
