Demagnetization

Demagnetization results in a lessening of the magnetic properties of a permanent magnet. It occurs when the magnet is exposed to:

1. high AC-field.

2. reverse fields applied by electromagnets or other permanent magnets. 

3.exposure at an elevated temperature.
